Lindsey qualified as a primary teacher in 2004 and has since taught across all primary phases. She is an experienced Maths Lead, EYFS Lead and Senior Leader. She has worked with schools across the North-East delivering staff training, supporting practitioners and working with school leaders. Lindsey is also a fully qualified Forest School Leader with research interests in developing mathematical metacognition through forest school settings. Lindsey works closely with the Great North Maths Hub and currently leads their programmes in Mastery Readiness across Primary and Subject Knowledge Enhancement in EYFS. From September 2020, she joins the leadership team as Deputy Hub Lead. Lindsey is a NCETM Professional Development Accredited Lead and a member of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics. 

Lindsey launched MathsFirst in 2019 to share her passion for maths teaching and learning. Her aim is to inspire practitioners through her work with staff in educational settings and to motivate and enthuse children through specialised teaching and tutoring.
